Loach Football Fun Day A Massive Success

The football season may have come to an end for Heroes Children Fund ambassador Scott Loach, but on Saturday May 25th at Carlton Town Football Club, Scott organised and ran his own football fun day.

Heroes Children Fund FC took on Scott Loach XI in a 90 minute match, that saw the Ipswich stoppers side run out 4-1 winners. The game was played in great spirits, underneath the Nottinghamshire sun.

The game saw ‘Loachy’ swap the gloves for a role in the number 9 shirt and he did not disappoint the strong 200+ crowd that turned up in force to support the cause. Getting his name on the scoresheet, Loach looped a header over the hapless charity chairman Lewis Scott to seal the fourth and final goal of the game.

An array of raffle prizes were on offer after the football and it is with special thanks to Jonny Upton, for his hard work and dedication in collating some spectacular prizes including: signed football shirts, boots, cricket bats and exclusive experiences.

The day helped raise a grand total of £1,500 and we are delighted to announce that the money will send 8 year old Cole to Disneyland Paris to celebrate his 9th birthday along with 2 year Ella, who both lost their fathers in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

We would like to give massive thanks to Scott and Jonny for hosting such a well organised and attended event, that we hope will flourish and grow year in, year out.

Chiswick’s Got Talent Raises £450

Heroes Children Fund was recently supported at Chiswick’s Got Talent, West London.

The event saw some of the finest young talent in West London take to the stage to dance, sing and beatbox. The quality on show from all contestants was of the highest standard, with many young performers tipped to go a long way in the showbiz world.

The event was put together by Chiswick Christian Centre’s Rosie Neave, who managed through ticket sales and donations to raise £450 for the cause. Helping to support more children and put a smile back the faces of these innocent children.

Heroes Children Fund ambassador JonJo Kerr was a judge at the event, and performed an inspiring number to the onlooking contestants.

We would like to thank everyone at the Chiswick Christian Centre for there support, especially event organiser Rosie Neave.
