Heroes Children Fund today regrettably announces the abandonment of its football match that was due to be held on May 5th at Bell Close football ground, home to Leighton Town FC.
Everyone involved with the charity and event has been working hard since the announcement of the event back in February, speaking to sponsors and celebrities in order to make the day a massive success.
We then however, received an email from Leighton Town FC informing us we were no longer able to use the venue due to a reserve fixture now being scheduled to take place on the same date.
After receiving this information we have worked tirelessly to find other avenues to work down, proposing other dates to the club but with no co-operation coming back.
We have therefore been left with no alternative but to abandon the event for 2012 and will look to plan a bigger and better event for 2013 at a new venue.
If you had already purchased tickets for the match, you are of course entitled to a full refund from any outlet that sold you the ticket, or from ourselves.
We send our apologies to everyone who planned on attending the event and we hope to see you all at our Golf Day on July 13th.
